Intel has introduced the NUC8i7HVK follow-up to the Skull-Canyon NUC, sporting an i7-8809G CPU+GPU. It's basically a 4-core processor (3.1GHz-4.2GHz), combined with AMD Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics (1.063GHz-1.19GHz) strapped with 4GB HBM2. And it is rated at 100W...yep, toasty.
Personally, I'd spend my money on a decent laptop, but if you're going to keep this hooked up to your TV, it's a viable option.
Do keep in mind that under sustained heavy loads (gaming and such), it will probably throttle its clocks down a lot to keep temps in check.
I wonder if the next one would feature HDMI 2.1 48Gbps, Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.11ax (AKA WiFi 6)...
On Amazon, you can even buy it pre-configured with RAM, SSD & Win10 Pro, but it'll cost you a pretty penny - $1350.00.
